As you know, the need is the mother of inventions, and if it comes to saving time, less effort and a good end result, then the matter becomes a priority. And so the manufacturers of home appliances are outdoing each other in ideas and solutions that would make our lives easier. One such product is a vacuuming robot. We suggest what to look for when looking for this one…
The cleaning robot comes in several versions – as an equivalent of a vacuum cleaner, a mop or a hybrid of one with the other. What distinguishes it from well known household appliances is the presence of built-in software, sensors and cameras, which enable it to clean itself. Thanks to such equipment, robots are able to get acquainted with the area they are to clean and avoid obstacles they encounter. The biggest advantage over traditional vacuum cleaners is that they are practically maintenance-free. So, what is the main thing to do when choosing a vacuum cleaner robot?
Before you make a final decision on which vacuum cleaner you choose, check its parameters well. Decide on the equipment that will fit your home and have all the features you need. This will give you help, not extra duty.
Ok, so what do you check?
Using the example of the Xiaomi Mi Robot 2 Roborock S50 we will discuss those that should attract your attention.
This is information that will tell you how fast and powerful the brushes and all suction systems in your chosen robot work. Here it is worth noting that often the suction power is much lower than that available in traditional vacuum cleaners. Does this mean that the robot is less effective?
A fired vacuuming robot can work 2 hours a day on average. With less motor power it is more economical, so you can use it even daily. Who spends 14 hours a week vacuuming with a conventional vacuum cleaner?
The size of the battery depends on how long the vacuuming robot will be able to perform its tasks without recharging. For example, the 5200 mAh battery of the aforementioned Xiaomi robot provides up to 2.5 hours of operation. Of course, this is a time that can change. In what cases? If, for example, you turn up the motor power or the robot will vacuum a carpet with very dense hair. Here it is good to pay attention to the charging time – some models need about 5 hours to fully recharge, which is quite a lot.
The size of the dust/water container is a parameter that is certainly worth paying attention to. It will tell you how often you will have to empty it. For example, the Xiaomi Mi Robot 2 Roborock S50 is equipped with a 0.48l container. With average surface contamination, this probably allows for more than one full pass on an area of about 70 m/sqm. Here, of course, it should be remembered that the end result may depend on the type of dirt and the surface to be cleaned.
It would seem to be a minor element. However, if you are not indifferent to the condition of the air in your four walls, you should pay special attention to this parameter. Choose a vacuum cleaner that has a HEPA filter. Made of three layers of foamed glass, it absorbs odours, dust, mites, viruses and traps all types of dirt. Thanks to this, the air released by the vacuuming robot is clean, free of allergens and microorganisms. This is particularly important for allergy sufferers.
The noise generated by the cleaning robot is much smaller than that generated by a traditional vacuum cleaner. On average, it varies between 55 and 75 dB, with standard settings and optimal motor operation. So you don’t watch TV while it’s running, but the noise won’t be particularly hard on your ears during a conversation, for example.
It’ll be good if you stay at home for the first time. This will allow you to control his work, and thus set him up so that the robot can make full use of his abilities.
You already know what parameters your vacuuming robot can have. Now sit back and imagine that you will never again have to bother with a cable that you have to pass several times to change the room you are cleaning. Do you have a cat or dog? Think you can turn on the robot when you go to work and it will collect all the lint before you come.
Sound good? We like this vision very much
